A Day at the Beach - Luperon - November 28

Our family - Tammy, Rebecca, Michaela and Michael

I know this post is a little out of date, but I still wanted to share it.  While we were visiting Luperon our friends, Joe and Amber, asked us to stay an additional day.  We ready accepted their invitation, with the idea of spending the day relaxing at the beach with them.  The northern coast of the DR is the Atlantic Ocean, whereas the southern coast is the Caribbeam Sea.  So there can be quite a contrast from the northern shore to the southern.  We went on Monday, November 28, 2011, which was the day after it had rained for two days straight.  I mention that because it cause the water to not be as clear as normal, since a front had gone by.  Joe and Amber took us to two different beaches, one to relax at and one particularly for the sunset.  The first beach we went to was totally isolated.  Two people did come for a walk down the beach for a few minutes, but otherwise we had the beach to ourselves all day.  Here are some pictures of some beaches on the northern coast, near Luperon.
